Senior Accountant (Contract, 6-9 Months)

Coravin | Full-Time | Remote East Coast

About Coravin

Coravin is a global wine access technology company on a mission to change the way the world enjoys wine. Headquartered in Bedford, Massachusetts, with operations across the US, Netherlands, UK, and Australia, we're a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company that blends innovative product design with a passionate, collaborative team culture.

About the Role

Coravin is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our global Finance and Accounting team on a full-time, temporary basis to cover a maternity leave for approximately 6–9 months. This is a remote role based on the East Coast, focused on the transactional and reporting side of the senior accounting scope — including VAT / GST / sales tax compliance, accounts receivable reporting and analysis, payroll processing across all four regions, and support for month-end close.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning a process end-to-end, works well cross-functionally, and wants to build expertise in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file VAT/GST reporting and reconciliation across applicable Coravin legal entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local requirements and filing deadlines
  • Lead weekly meetings with the Sales team to review AR status and progress. Perform detailed analysis of AR items surfaced in Sales meetings and develop follow-up action plans to drive resolution
  • Manage wholesale AR, including monitoring account status, coordinating collections activity, and resolving disputes or discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation to support audit and compliance requirements
  • Process payroll for all four regions (US, Netherlands, UK, and Australia), ensuring accuracy and compliance with local requirements and deadlines
  • Provide month-end close support, including journal entries, reconciliations, and other close activities as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of accounting experience, with direct exposure to AR and/or indirect tax (VAT/GST) reporting
  • Experience processing payroll, ideally across multiple countries/regions
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) strongly preferred; experience with another major ERP considered
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable follow-up plans
  • Comfortable presenting AR status and analysis directly to Sales stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel; comfort with financial systems and reporting tools
  • Experience working under US GAAP a plus

What We Offer

  • Full-time, temporary position (approximately 6-9 months, maternity leave cover), remote and based in the US
  • Opportunity to work within a growing global finance team and gain exposure to multi-entity accounting operations
  • Collaborative, mission-driven company culture

Coravin is an equal opportunity employer.
