Cost Basis Operations (CBO) is part of the Custody & Asset Services division of Operational Services. As a Specialist in Cost Basis Transfers you will be part of a team that oversees the transmission and upkeep of cost basis data for assets transferred in and out of Schwab. This is a fast-paced working environment where effective communication and teamwork are a must. Flexibility and adaptability are necessary, because the specialist will rotate through different functions as business needs arise. Duties for this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Daily communication with contra firms
- Research across multiple systems to verify transaction information
- Process corrections in SPARKS, Schwab’s cost basis system
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Intermediate computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word
- This role requires strict adherence to the established policies and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining the highest level of positivity and professionalism
- Good decision making and sound judgment skills are a must
- Attention to detail is key in being successful in this position
- Requires accurate data entry skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Identify and communicate issues effectively and timely to peers and management team
- Ability to multi-task, understand the importance of follow-through
- Outstanding time management and organization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in Operations
- BA or BS
- Series 7/63
