Job Description

As our Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain high-performing, scalable applications. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into clean, reliable code, solve complex technical challenges, and continuously elevate our engineering practices. 

Key Responsibilities

This permanent position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with home-office opportunities by agreement with your manager, based at our site in Gaupne.

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive front-end user interfaces using Angular/AngularJS alongside robust, secure backend services utilizing C# and .NET Core/.NET Framework.
  • Engage closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and end users to identify and capture business processes, defining technical requirements and functional specifications.
  • Translate business needs by crafting detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable technical roadmaps.
  • Build and optimize highly performant RESTful APIs and write efficient database schemas, queries, and stored procedures using SQL Server or similar relational databases.
  • Champion modern CI/CD practices by maintaining automated build and deployment pipelines, containerizing applications (Docker), and enforcing automated testing structures (Unit, Integration) to safeguard production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or comparable experience/technical background, or technical interest
  • Passion for full-stack development, database design, RESTful APIs, and writing clean, testable code.
  • Strong collaborator with a focus on code reviews, Agile teamwork, and mentoring.
  • Curiosity for new technologies, with experience in Azure Cloud Services ( (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure OpenAI Service, or Azure DevOps) and AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
  • Practical experience or strong interest in leveraging AI/LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain) to enhance application features.
  • Fluent in English; Norwegian (Bokmål/Nynorsk) skills are a plus.
