The AKA Commercial Analyst, Pricing & Costing will support the AKA Commercial Leader, Pricing & Costing in driving governance, standardization, and execution excellence across high-impact commercial opportunities. The role is responsible for conducting pricing and costing analyses, supporting deal reviews, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and maintaining effective commercial governance processes. Through strong financial acumen and attention to detail, the analyst will help enable timely deal closure while ensuring compliance with internal policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA) requirements, and established commercial review processes.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Deal Project Management & Execution

  • Support the Commercial Leader - Pricing & Costing in managing Pricing & Costing analysis of  key strategic deals and business-critical projects.
  • Monitor the deal pipeline across current and upcoming quarters, proactively identifying priorities and facilitating readiness discussions.
  • Coordinate internal deal preparation activities, including cost sheet reviews and cross-functional alignment among Commercial, Product, Finance, OTR, HPM, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the coordination of deal review discussions with Local Country Teams (LCT) and AKA leadership by preparing materials, tracking action items, and facilitating stakeholder follow-through.
  • Track deal timelines, milestones, and action items to support timely deal closure and adherence to review requirements.

2. Deal Margin & Cost Review

  • Conduct detailed cost and margin reviews to ensure accuracy, and completeness.
  • Validate cost sheets against solution configurations and business assumptions.
  • Perform pricing simulations under multiple scenarios and provide analytical insights to support cost optimization and margin improvement discussions.
  • Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, franchise margin analysis, margin allocation assessments, and profitability evaluations.

3. Governance & Standardization of MMD/Big Deal Process and DOA

  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of deal review frameworks in alignment with Global Markets guidelines and best practices.
  • Assist in maintaining review criteria, governance requirements, workflows, and documentation standards.
  • Standardize deal review templates, pricing models, and cost sheet structures to improve consistency, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Support the execution and administration of the Deal Review Operating Mechanism for LCT and AKA leadership teams.
  • Prepare consolidated reporting, dashboards, and executive summaries of key strategic deals for leadership review.

4. Pricing Operation and Excellence Support

  • Support pricing structure enablement activities, including target loading, standard setting maintenance, DOA approval workflow administration, NPI activation, and other pricing-related processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and governance of CPQ and Pricing Margin Analysis tools and outputs.
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities to enhance pricing, quoting, and commercial operations processes.
  • Support the implementation of best practices, process standardization, and operational excellence initiatives across the pricing function.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in commercial operations, pricing, finance, business analytics, or related functions.
  • Proficiency in pricing tools, CPQ systems, Excel-based financial modeling, and commercial analytics.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to connect operational drivers to financial outcomes, evaluate alternatives, and identify opportunities for business improvement.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience supporting cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial and commercial information into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different levels, functions, and geographies.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including confidence, professionalism, and the ability to influence decision-making in a matrixed environment.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with ambiguity, changing priorities, and evolving business requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced organization.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism, with a strong commitment to compliance and governance standards.
