With every bike we deploy, we’re helping build the backbone of smarter, greener cities.Ride with us into the future – sustainable, efficient, and full speed ahead!Your MissionAs a Hardware Engineer, you will help shape the technical development of a new cargo e-bike concept from first idea to production readiness, working on the mechanics and components that keep our riders safe and on the road.Designing and developing mechanical components for e-bikes / cargo bikesSelecting and evaluating components and suppliers (e.g. drivetrain, frame, brakes, electronics interfaces)Creating technical specifications, drawings and requirement documentsConducting and evaluating tests and prototype trialsCollaborating with external manufacturing and development partnersEnsuring compliance with quality, safety and standards (e.g. EN 15194)Coordinating closely with Product Management and Operations on requirements from fleet operationsYour skills and qualificationsDegree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or similar, or comparable qualificationProfessional experience developing mechanical components, ideally for bicycles, e-bikes or light vehiclesConfident use of CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360)Understanding of manufacturing processes and material propertiesStructured, solution-oriented way of working with attention to detailGood German and English skillsNice to haveExperience collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing partnersExperience with e-bike standards and certification processesKnowledge of electrical/electronics integration in e-bikesWhat you can expect from usCompetitive salary aligned with your skills and experienceComprehensive benefits package, including private healthcare (Medicover) and Medicover SportShape a new product from the concept phase onwardDirect link between development work and real-world fleet operationCollaboration with an interdisciplinary teamRoom to bring your own technical solutionsDiversityCYCLE values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, providing a safe and inclusive space for everyone.
