To assess, plan, perform, and document professional nurse anesthetist practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of unlicensed assistive personnel; to assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, their family, health professionals and others; responsible for providing patient care and support during general, regional or monitored anesthesia care, and is responsible for patient safety while under anesthesia; works with the staff anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical staff to provide safe and evidenced based care to patients and performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: .8 FTE; Mostly day/evening coverage; variety of 8, 10, 12 hours shifts. Option for overnight and weekend call shifts.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or Doctorate Nursing Practice Degree or equivalent
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license by Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Active through Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Credentialed through National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Must have strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills with a customer-service orientation.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.

- Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, family members, and co-workers.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures and medical intervention techniques
