Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. We are committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere where every team member feels empowered, valued, and equipped to provide exceptional care.We care for adult patients age 18 and older who are being treated for acute ischemic, hemorrhagic stroke, subdural, epidural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, Guillain-Barre syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis exacerbation, meningitis and encephalitis, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular intervention, and brain and spinal tumor resection.Our patients are unique because they have specialized neurological needs.One of the perks of working on my unit is belonging to a team where you'll collaborate with some of the most skilled nurses and specialized teams at Vanderbilt, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge technology.ShiftThis is a full-time night shift position. The shift if 7:00pm - 7:00am, three times per week for a total of 36 hours per week, including some weekends.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.TECHNICAL CAPABILITIESCare Planning (Novice): Demonstrates ability to anticipate resource needs, identify distinct tasks, set priorities, schedule activities, meet deadlines, and organize work within areas of direct responsibility.
