Location: Pune, India

We are seeking an experienced Head of Talent Acquisition, India to lead and scale our talent acquisition function across India. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving hiring strategy, leading a team of recruiters, and partnering with senior business leaders to deliver exceptional talent outcomes that support the organization's growth objectives.

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership experience, a proven track record of building high-performing recruitment teams, and experience operating within a large, global organization. This individual will serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders, leveraging market intelligence, workforce planning, and data-driven insights to ensure the business attracts and hires top talent across India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters supporting hiring across India, including key locations such as Pune and Hyderabad.

  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional stakeholder experience.

  • Develop and execute the India talent acquisition strategy in alignment with business growth plans and workforce objectives.

  • Partner with senior business leaders, HR, and global stakeholders to understand current and future talent needs.

  • Drive workforce planning initiatives and proactively build talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment activities across all levels and functions, ensuring a consistent and high-quality hiring process.

  • Act as a strategic advisor on talent market trends, competitor insights, compensation intelligence, and workforce availability across India.

  • Lead hiring initiatives that support business expansion, organizational transformation, and strategic growth projects.

  • Establish and monitor key recruiting metrics, ensuring hiring performance meets agreed service levels and business expectations.

  • Drive operational excellence through process improvement, recruitment technology, automation, and data-led decision-making.

  • Build strong relationships across local and global leadership teams, influencing talent decisions and hiring strategies.

  • Manage external recruitment partners, search firms, and talent attraction channels to maximize hiring outcomes.

  • Champion employer branding initiatives to strengthen the organization's position in the Indian talent market.

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, hiring practices, and corporate policies.

  • Continuously assess and enhance candidate experience, hiring manager satisfaction, and team effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 10 - 15 years of in-house talent acquisition experience within a large multinational or global organization.

  • 8 to 10 years of leadership experience managing talent acquisition teams and recruiting managers.

  • Proven experience leading recruitment delivery and strategy across India.

  • Strong track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing recruiting teams.

  • Experience partnering with senior executives, business leaders, and HR stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence workforce planning and talent decisions at a strategic level.

  • Deep understanding of the Indian talent market, particularly across technology, corporate, and professional functions.

  • Strong analytical capability with experience using recruitment metrics and market intelligence to drive decision-making.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Experience driving recruitment transformation, process improvements, and operational excellence initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment compliance requirements in India.

  • Fluency in English required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading Talent Acquisition within a global technology, shared services, GCC, global financial services, consulting, or professional services environment.

  • Experience supporting large-scale growth, site expansions, or business transformation programs.

  • Exposure to executive hiring and leadership talent acquisition.

  • Experience partnering with global Talent Acquisition and HR leaders
