Senior Custom Solutions Software Engineer
About this role:
As a Sr. Custom Solutions Software Support Engineer, you will assist in the design, development and installation of software applications that extend and enhance LenelS2’s access control products. Your projects will include custom integrations to third party software systems, extensions to our products to allow our customers to meet regulatory compliance guidelines, and custom applications that help ensure the safety and security of our customer’s employees and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software solutions on schedule that meet customer requirements.
- Participate in and provide feedback to peer reviews.
- Test software prior to installation to ensure we deliver high quality solutions every time.
- Install software on customer systems. Installation is typically installed over a remote connection, though on-site installation is possible for high security sites without an internet connection to their security network.
- Test and provide sustaining engineering for existing commercially available software solutions developed by the Custom Solutions team.
- This position may require occasional travel (no more than 5%); typically, individual trips of short duration (3-5 days). International travel is possible.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 5+ Years of Software Development work experience
- 2+ Years of Experience developing software applications using C#
- 2+ Years of MS SQL Server based application development experience
WE VALUE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with web development
- Experience with SQL Server database development using T-SQL and writing SQL stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Working knowledge of .NET Framework
- Experience testing and supporting software installations.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to emerging technologies.
- Experience with Crystal Reports
- Knowledge of ASP.NET, ADO.NET, WCF, WPF, or WinForms
- Experience developing test plans and procedures.
- Customer service orientation, ability to develop strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Professionalism consistent with a world-class service provider
- Ability to work independently in a team environment.
- Ability to manage larger development projects.
- Willingness to participate and assist leadership with internal initiatives.
The annual base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $169,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
