Distribution Center Shipping Supervisor - (Kapolei, HI)

As the Distribution Center Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of colleagues at CVS Health’s state of the art distribution facility. This includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area to achieve performance goals and metrics within the distribution center. You will provide ongoing training and cross-training to ensure employees can effectively perform in multiple warehouse functions and support operational flexibility. In addition, you will utilize reports, metrics, summaries, and procedures to forecast workload, identify issues, and implement timely solutions.
Additional responsibilities include:
Hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and assigning work to new hires.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
Ensuring employees have the necessary equipment, materials, and documentation to successfully complete assigned tasks.
Coordinating and scheduling inbound and outbound freight activities to ensure efficient product flow and service levels.
Overseeing receiving, put-away, cross-dock, and shipping operations to ensure accuracy, productivity, and compliance with established procedures.
Monitoring and adjusting labor resources to achieve daily production, receiving, and delivery goals.
Balancing workloads by taking operational readings throughout the day and reallocating resources as needed to meet projected completion times.
Monitoring employee performance to ensure quality, productivity, and safety expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
Directing team members to support multiple warehouse functions based on business needs, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, cross-dock, and general warehouse operations.
Conducting staff meetings and ensuring daily operational reports and worksheets are completed accurately and submitted on time.
Communicating effectively across all levels of the organization and with internal and external business partners.
Analyzing operational data and performance metrics to make sound business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Building high-performing teams while engaging, developing, and inspiring colleagues.
**Selected candidate must be flexible to work 1st shift hours (5:00 AM–2:00 PM), weekends as business needs require, provide occasional 2nd shift coverage during colleague absences, and support multiple warehouse functions as operational demands dictate**
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Experience directing the work of hourly employees and managing daily operational performance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environment.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including Infor WMS, Manhattan WMS, or similar platforms.
Experience utilizing Power BI or similar reporting tools to analyze labor performance, productivity, service levels, and operational KPIs.
Knowledge of Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and root cause analysis.
Experience supporting receiving, inventory control, cross-dock, shipping, and transportation operations.
Familiarity with Descartes or other transportation management, routing, and fleet optimization systems.
Knowledge of Hawaii freight operations, including ocean carrier scheduling, booking, and coordination with providers such as Matson and Pasha.
Experience in a multi-functional distribution environment where supervisors are expected to lead across multiple operational areas and shift functions.
Ability to prioritize workload, manage staffing levels, and meet productivity, quality, and service goals.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and alternate shifts as business needs require.
Education
- Verifiable High School Diploma/GED
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,888.00 - $102,081.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
