The Delaney at The Vale is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Café Attendant to join our culinary team! This role provides hands-on food and beverage service within our community café while creating an exceptional experience for residents and guests. The Café Attendant is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, food quality, and cleanliness standards at all times.
Schedule: Part-time opportunity, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday 6:30am-3:00pm
Salary: Starting at $20/hour

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Café Attendant:
- Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, sandwiches, and other café menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting residents and guests, taking orders, and answering questions about menu offerings.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the café, including food preparation areas, counters, equipment, and dining spaces.
- Restock food, beverages, condiments, and service supplies to ensure a well-stocked and organized café environment.
- Assist with table maintenance, bussing dishes, and ensuring guest areas remain clean and welcoming.
- Support a culture of hospitality by creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for residents, guests, and team members.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food service, café, coffee shop, or customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic food handling knowledge and strong attention to detail.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift supplies as needed.
