Job Summary  

The Part-Time Temporary Process Mechanical Designer role will be responsible for assisting in the development of process mechanical piping designs and equipment layouts using Revit and AutoCAD. The role will involve coordinating P&IDs and piping specifications to ensure accurate and efficient designs. The position will work closely with other disciplines to resolve model clashes and ensure seamless integration of designs. Additionally, the role will contribute to the development of process mechanical and piping drawings, ensuring they meet the required level of detail at various project design gates and milestones. The position will also assist in valve and equipment scheduling, ensuring all components are accurately documented and scheduled.   

 

Responsibilities  
  • Use Revit/AutoCAD for process mechanical piping design and process mechanical equipment layout.  
  • Coordinate P&ID along with piping specification.  
  • Focus on cross discipline model coordination/clash resolution.  
  • Assist with the process mechanical/piping drawing development.  
  • Ensure understanding of level of detail at project design gates/milestones.  
  • Perform necessary support roles in production and manual tasks.  
  • Maintain effective communication with other team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.  
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.  

 

Skills and Competencies  
  • Basic skills in utilizing Revit/AutoCAD for design purposes.  
  • Understanding of process mechanical piping design and process mechanical equipment layout.  
  • Proficiency in cross discipline model coordination/clash resolution.  
  • Understanding of level of detail at project design gates/milestones.  

 

Experience  
  • Typically requires a minimum of 0-2 years of process mechanical design or related experience.  

 

Education  
  • An associate’s degree in mechanical engineering technologies, related field or equivalent experience is required.  

 

Preferred Skills and Experience 

  • Bentley Microstation 

 

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.  These ranges may be modified in the future.   

Location A: $51,000 - $64,000
Location B: $57,000 - $70,000
Location C: $62,000 - $77,000
