Design and develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions. Adhere to and drive modern software-engineering practices through design reviews. Perform system design across well-defined interfaces and multiple components, conduct code reviews, and use data/telemetry to make decisions. Develop best-in-class engineering by ensuring services and components are well-defined, modular, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored, and reusable. Improve test coverage, organize and implement integration tests, and resolve problem areas. Weigh testability, portability, reliability, and maintainability, and know when code is ready to ship. Collaborate leaders to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end customer experiences, focusing on customer/partner needs through a data-driven approach. Troubleshoot and optimize automation, reliability, and monitoring for Live Site. Partner with product and engineering teammates to design and develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Master's degree in computer science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience designing, developing, or maintaining secure software systems, with applied knowledge of authentication, data protection, access control, and secure coding practices. 2+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable, highly available cloud services or distributed systems on platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or comparable cloud environments, with production ownership, CI/CD pipeline integration, and automated testing practices. Experience building or integrating AI/ML-powered systems or workflows, including safe handling of model outputs, orchestration, or agent-based systems. Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,100 - $202,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800 - $219,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
