Process Quality Engineer Intern - 6-month Internship (stage)

We are looking for a motivated Process Quality Engineer Intern to join our Quality team for a 6 months internship in Cameri (Novara), Italy.

The role is fully onsite, we have preference for candidates that are already based in Cameri/Novara area.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

 

  • Process Quality Management: Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with established standards, support the investigation of quality issues, and analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Layered Process Audit (LPA) Deployment: Support the implementation and standardization of the LPA system throughout the plant, developing checklists and tracking audit completion rates across all management levels.

  • Audit & Documentation Support: Assist in the preparation for customer, certification, and internal audits, ensuring process documentation is updated and aligned with operational practices.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to promote process discipline and drive a culture of operational excellence on the shop floor.

  • Continuous Improvement: Support process improvement projects focused on quality performance, reducing variability, and monitoring KPIs (LPA completion rates, scrap reduction, etc.).

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

 

  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, Quality, or related field).

  • Language Skills:  Fluency in Italian (C1/C2) and good communication skills in English (written and spoken) to work in a global corporate environment. 

  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949) and familiarity with problem-solving methodologies. Knowledge of Core Tools (PFMEA, Control Plan) is an asset.

  • PC Skills: Good command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong data analysis capabilities.

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, proactive approach, and a desire to spend time on the manufacturing shop floor.
