Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry as directed by site procedures; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
