As an Networks Director you will be able to demonstrate:
15+ years of experience working for a Telco; NEP or Service provider supporting Telco or Enterprise networks at scale.
A deep understanding of Radio Access Networks and Fixed Networks for CSP’s or Enterprise networks.
An understanding of network performance and optimisation with an ability to manage teams focused on this.
Experience across the network lifecycle; with technical aptitude and an understanding of strategy; deployment and testing phases.
Proactive sales and client relationship experience – opening up long term client relationships and proactively opening up pipelines.
Reactive sales and commercial experience responding to an RFP; RFQ;
Proven commercial ability through dimensioning and solutioning; pricing; sow and into mobilisation.
Ability to manage transition and mobilisation of large scale programmes
Deep delivery background, typically as a programme manager / programme director of large complex programmes.
Solid and proved experience of Access or Fibre network delivery which you will use day to day to deliver (Solution & project manage) critical client engagements
An appetite for continuous learning and development to stay close to emerging technical standards and developments.
We are looking for experience in a majority of the following skills:
RAN engineering, consulting, or technology management within a mobile network operator, vendor, or consultancy environment.
4G LTE and 5G NR RAN design, deployment, and optimisation — including 5G SA architecture.
3GPP and O-RAN Alliance standards and specifications.
Transport architecture (SDH, MPLS, IP, DWDM, x-PON)
Standards and frameworks for fixed and transport networks (ITU-T, IEEE, MEF, Broadband Forum, TM Forum)
AI and automation in fixed networks: automated planning and assurance, predictive maintenance, and gen-AI
Experience with at least one major RAN vendor platform (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Samsung, or Open RAN equivalents).
E2E program management
Fixed and transport network design (high level)
Network build, commercial and vendor management, including documentation
Operating model design and command-centre definition: organisation, process and sourcing, aligned to eTOM and TM Forum
Fixed-market context: fibre roll-out and consolidation, wholesale and open-access, and UK regulation
Network Deployment - Architecture / Planning / Deployment/Analytics
Operations - Activation / Fulfilment / Field Installation / Service Management /Use of Agentic-AI to drive operations
Digitization of Network - Next Gen services / Digital Transformation/Network Virtualisation
Business case and value: investment cases, OPEX and CAPEX modelling, total cost of ownership.
Consulting skills: structured problem-solving and clear communication.
