This role is being offered as a 12-month Maximum-Term contract.
There's real craft in bringing structure to complexity — translating ambition into action, aligning people around a shared direction, and making transformation stick. As a Project Manager (Senior Manager) at PwC, you'll bring your experience in leading multi-discipline transformation initiatives to drive strategic change across PwC Australia's Finance function, based in Melbourne / Naarm. You'll partner with a CFO Advisory Partner and other senior leaders across the firm on PwC's Finance Transformation programme, shaping and delivering initiatives spanning governance, process optimisation, AI-enabled transformation, and operating model improvement — leveraging cutting-edge technologies that challenge and expand your expertise.
Why PwC?
At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health—giving you the chance to make a real impact. Here, your growth is our priority. You’ll work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and unlock your full potential.

Lead and drive execution of a large-scale Finance Transformation, overseeing multiple initiatives and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and objectives.
Develop comprehensive, integrated project plans that address delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, benefits, budget and resource requirements.
Support process improvements, and operating model and AI-enabled transformation initiatives, to simplify, standardise, automate and agentify Finance activities.
Partner with initiative owners, Finance leaders and business stakeholders to shape, prioritise and progress ideas from concept through to delivery.
Prepare regular status reports, business cases and executive reporting materials for senior stakeholders to support forums, reporting and decision-making processes.
Collate and analyse project metrics and feedback to identify lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Drive engagement, culture and change activities to support adoption of new processes, technologies and ways of working across the Finance function.
Partner with on- and off-shore teams across Finance, Operations, Technology, Partnership People & Culture, Risk & Ethics and other firm functions to deliver successful outcomes.
Work and operate comfortably at both strategic and delivery levels.
