Overview

This is a Remote role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of an office.  NY, NJ, Chicago, NC, TX.

 

First Citizens Bank - Capital Equipment Finance (CEF) provides equipment loans and leases for transactions ranging in size from $3 million to $100 million and more. We offer flexible structures and terms of up to eight years (amortizations can be longer), with advance rates tailored to the collateral type, industry type and the credit profile of the borrowers. The CEF business unit targets clients with credit profiles ranging from B to BB+, in general.

 

The Director, Business Development Officer directly originates lease and loan transactions through Sponsors for Capital Equipment Finance and Sixty-First Commercial Finance. Focus on directly originating transactions for Sponsor backed companies of $3MM to $100MM with credit profiles that meet CEF's risk and pricing standards and credit profiles that meet Sixty-First Commercial Finance risk and Pricing standards.

Responsibilities

  • Cross sell other First Citizens bank products through internal referrals
  • Interface with C Suite level executives and Sponsor referral sources.
  • Solicit and origination transactions across multiple equipment types and industries including; construction, manufacturing - discrete and process, automotive, energy, transportation, chemicals and plastics, inland marine.
  • Act as deal advocate using strong credit skills in working with the underwriting teams to facilitate transactions through closing.

Qualifications

Required:

 

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Direct and Indirect originations of transactions ranging from $3MM to $100MM OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Direct and Indirect origination Sponsor referred transactions ranging from $3MM to $100MM

  

Preferred:

 

  • BA in Business or Economics
  • Understanding of all market deal structure
  • Member of the ELFA

 Other:

 

  • Strong network and relationships with Sponsors
  • Structured Finance experience
  • Strong sales skills and strong credit skills and strong transaction structuring skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strong technology skills

 

The base pay for this position is generally between $175,000.00 and $200,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
