Purchasing Operations Buyer – EV Systems

We are looking for a Senior Buyer – Electrified Systems to manage procurement operations for EV-related commodities. This role involves supplier coordination, purchase order management, cost optimisation, and ensuring uninterrupted supply to meet production requirements.

Procurement Operations

• Raise and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and Tool Orders in line with programme requirements
• Ensure timely order execution and supplier delivery performance
• Monitor procurement KPIs and take corrective actions

Cost Optimisation & Negotiation

• Negotiate pricing and implement engineering changes with suppliers
• Drive annual cost reduction initiatives across assigned commodities
• Support cost analysis and benchmarking activities

Supplier & Supply Chain Management

• Manage supplier relationships and ensure performance against delivery, quality, and cost targets
• Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity of supply
• Support capacity planning aligned with production and demand forecasts
• Ensure supplier has right level of capacity to meet Ford vehicle demands

Change Management

• Implement engineering changes in coordination with cross-functional teams
• Ensure minimal disruption to production during transitions

Claims & Commercial Settlements

• Manage supplier claims including:
  • Obsolescence
  • RM / Other economics changes
  • End-of-program settlements
  • Warranty recovery
• Ensure timely and accurate resolution of commercial issues

 

 

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
• MBA (Supply Chain / Operations) preferred

Experience

• 4–8 years of experience in:
  • Operational procurement / purchasing
  • Strategic sourcing or commodity management
  • Automotive or manufacturing industry (EV / Electronics exposure preferred)
