Meet the team:
The Software Test Development Engineer 2 validates software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products including SDK, firmware, apps, and server platform. Develops or modifies test automations and/or test tools, and executes software test plans and test protocols and automated test scripts. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with software development engineers in resolution of problems.
Where you come in:
- You’ll design, develop the system end-to-ent test automation for the Dexcom CGM product and eco systems.
- You’ll design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to test the functionalities of the Dexcom CGM product, and eco system.
- You’ll document software verification test protocols, and software risk analysis, for software used in commercial products.
- You’ll analyze failures and collaborate with development teams to ensure root cause is investigated.
- You’ll participate in software requirements and design reviews.
- You’ll review software requirements and design specifications.
- You’ll modify test protocols based on requirements changes and execute regression validation accordingly.
- You’ll create requirements traceability matrices which demonstrate test coverage of all features.
- You’ll follow internal software development, cybersecurity, and validation procedures that comply with medical and security regulations.
- You’ll perform other duties as assigned.
What makes you successful:
- You have a minimum of 3 years of software development or software test development related experience.
- You have a minimum 3 years of OOP languages such as JAVA and Python.
- You have knowledge of API based test development
- You have knowledge of xCode and/or Android Studio.
- You have an understanding of good software development and testing practices.
- You have excellent oral communication skills for interfacing with peers in internal/external departments.
- You have software development or test experience in medical device industry is a plus.
- You have familiarity with a network debugging tool, such as Charles Proxy is a plus.
- You have knowledge of Android and/or iOS devices, including debugging, installation, and configuration is a plus.

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or Master’s degree and 0-2 years’ equivalent experience.
Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
