As a Community and Project Specialist IV, you will serve as the primary face of Williams and central contact point to advance community outreach strategies and relationships. You'll strategize and produce innovative solutions to sophisticated problems, and collaborate with a wide range of internal contributors and community leaders to achieve company goals and objectives. Superb interpersonal skills, the ability to initiate and execute projects, and understand business commitments and customer requirements are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Serves as a conduit of information from the community to management

  • Establishes and nurtures relationships with internal and local contributors to ensure all project phases are communicated consistently

  • Represents the company at public forums and local outreach events

  • Assists with the development process of FERC regulatory outputs

  • Guides the efficiency and effectiveness of local and public outreach efforts

  • Interacts with third party firms to assist in local outreach and other engagements

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Public Affairs, Communications, or Political Science and a minimum of (7) years of public relations, corporate communications, government affairs or project management

  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Public Relations and a minimum of (9) years of corresponding experience

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Proficient knowledge of state and federal regulatory regulations and requirements

  • Adept at relationship building within the organization and with outside groups

  • Strong problem solving, decision making, and issue resolution skills

  • Knowledge of the energy industry

  • 50% travel required

  • This is an in-office role
