Meter Reader- Darwin

Join Downer’s team as a Meter Reader and enjoy an active, walking, outdoor role. 

You'll visit homes and businesses to collect utility meter readings (electricity), record data using a mobile device, and hit daily targets.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• A valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle

• The ability to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather

• Strong time management skills and reliability

• Good customer service skills and friendly communication

• The motivation to work safely, follow schedules and get the job done right the first time

• Basic to intermediate computer skills, including knowledge of and experience using the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• The ability and willingness to learn administrative tasks and support office-based duties when required

Full training is provided, including how to use the device to find meters and enter readings.
