Skip to main contentDashboardProfileJoin Talent NetworkSign InEnglishSingle PositionView All JobsSenior Financial AccountantMascot AU-NSW, Australia | N/A No longer accepting applications.Work ModeHybridRequisition ID631357Hiring Manager: Daniel Francis PortelliRecruiter: Aislinn RocheABOUT THE ROLEThis is a great opportunity to work in an organisation with a strong purpose of being dedicated to transforming lives through innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients around the world.  Reporting to the Accounting & Controls Manager ANZ, this role is responsible for the coordination of financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit activities across multiple legal entities.This role operates within a supported environment, partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors, and is focused on ownership, oversight, and coordination rather than detailed technical preparation.In addition to core reporting and compliance responsibilities, this role will play a key part in business integration activities (including M&A) and contribute to process improvement initiatives, supporting the development of a scalable and efficient Accounting & Controls function.This position requires strong technical capability, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to managing risk, compliance, and continuous improvement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate statutory financial reporting, working with external advisors who support technical preparation Act as the primary contact for external audit, managing timelines, queries, and stakeholder coordination Oversee and coordinate corporate income tax compliance, including: Income tax returnsTransfer pricingCountry-by-Country (CbC) reportingSupport tax provision processes and ensure tax obligations are met in a timely and controlled manner Oversee indirect tax compliance processes (e.g. GST) in collaboration with internal teams Promote a strong internal control environment and support compliance activitiesEnsure financial processes are audit-ready, well-controlled, and aligned with corporate policies Support integration of newly acquired businesses into the local finance environment, including: Process and reporting alignmentCoordination of entity restructuring and deregistrationPartner with internal stakeholders to validate financial outputs and resolve accounting matters Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including simplification, standardisation, and automationKEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESSFunctional ExpertiseStrong accounting and financial knowledge, mastery of systems, analytical tools, and data management.  Able to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and a deep understanding of the purpose of each task and process.CommunicationCommunicates effectively one-on-one and in groups.  Openly shares knowledge and expertise.  Listens actively and contributes to the open expression of ideas and opinions.  CollaborationWorks effectively with others across the team to achieve goals.  Demonstrates proficient communication, and partnership in interactions with others. AdaptabilityResponds resourcefully, flexibly, and positively when faced with new challenges and demands.
