Eurofins companies offer a portfolio of over 200,000 analytical methods to evaluate the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin, traceability and purity of biological substances and products.In 2021, Eurofins generated total revenues of EUR 6.72 billion, and has been among the best performing stocks in Europe over the past 20 years.Job DescriptionPreparation of prototype formulations (solutions, suspensions, tablets, capsules, powder blends, semi-solid dosage forms, sterile and non-sterile liquids) for exploratory studies in in-vitro and in-vivo modelsDevelopment of oral, topical and intravenous (sterile) dosage forms for feasibility studies and small scale manufacturing operationsMeasurement of key active compound and formulation properties (such as solubility, tablet hardness, disintegration, pH, isotonicity, color, gelling tendency, etc.)Assessment of the chemical and physical stability of prototype formulations, as well as the performance of prototype formulations using in-vitro tests (non-sink dissolution, precipitation, etc.)Identify potential stability and performance issues with prototype formulationsDevelopment of protocols for preparation of formulations at preclinical and clinical study sitesQualificationsThe Ideal Candidate would possess:Experience with drug formulation and pre-formulation techniques, and an understanding of drug candidate propertiesExperience with amorphous solid dispersions (spray dried dispersions or hot melt extrusion) and modified release tablet design.Basic chemistry (wet or solid state) laboratory experience.Experience working with laboratory equipment, mechanically inclined.Experience with more advanced characterization techniques such as Raman, thermal analysis and dissolution.Ability to follow procedures reliably and consistently,Strong computer and organizational skillsAdept in Microsoft officeMathematical or Mechanistic ModelingExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesAdditional InformationThe position is full-time, Monday through Friday,  8am-5 pmMay be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Groton, CT  are encouraged to apply.Ability to work overtime as required.Excellent full-time benefits, including comprehensive...
