Sales Training Manager Germany (m/f/d)
This position works out of Abbott GmbH in the Diabetes Care division.
PRIMARY GOAL:
Supports existing commercial roles especially sales force in creating and organising trainings for improving employee commercial knowledge, competencies and skills.
This position leads one direct report (Training Coordinator or comparable).

Major Accountabilities
- Organizes and creates coaching and training programs for all existing commercial roles especially sales force team within budget.
- Improves commercial employees knowledge, competencies and skills.
- Designs onboarding sessions for new hires and sales managers.
- Gathers new concepts and training content and implements in sales force.
- Chooses appropriate training methods.
- Coaches ADC sales force and local teams.
- Maximizes sales department effectiveness by determining training needs.
- Evaluates sales team performance.
- Reports on training program effectiveness.
- Supports Sales Management in developing high performing sales teams.
- Partners with leadership to identify future business needs.
- Communicates with Marketing, Market Access and Medical teams.
- Leads Training Coordinator or equivalent.
- Travel requirement: up to 30%.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales and product training.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring.
- Experience delivering Training & Development strategies.
- Direct sales experience.
- Knowledge of diabetes market.
- Excellent presentation and project management skills.
- Strong healthcare business knowledge.
- Ability to design training programs.
- Experience developing Training & Development tools.
- Cross-functional and cross-geography teamwork.
- Translation of content into sales conversations.
- Developing and coaching high performance teams.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Fluent German and English.
