Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Property Patrol in Fort Walton Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, observe and report concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a busy retail location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and unusual conditions, and promptly report observations according to established procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or site leadership when appropriate.
- Document patrol activity and incidents accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal personnel and retail management.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
