• Coordinate crews, plant operators and subcontractors onsite
• Step into a leadership role when the Foreman is unavailable
• Assist with setting out works, site measurements and project planning
• Produce site sketches and maintain project documentation
• Train and mentor less experienced operators and crew members

What we offer

• Stable, long-term work across essential water infrastructure projects
• Opportunity to step into a leadership pathway within the business
• Work with experienced crews and industry-leading operators
• Suite of Downer benefits, including health and wellness initiatives
• Ongoing training and development opportunities

What we're looking for

• Confidence supervising crews and coordinating daily site activities
• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity onsite
• Strong understanding of safety, risk management and site operations
• White Card, Drivers Licence, First Aid and CPR certification
• Competencies across multiple areas including excavator operations, trenching and shoring, electrofusion welding, PE welding or similar disciplines
• Strong communication skills and a hands-on approach to leadership
