(MTSI) is seeking an ESS Terminals Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge SE&I for the Space Force’s Space System Command. We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art MILSATCOM systems, providing secure global, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.Work Environment:Location: On-siteTravel Requirements: MinimalWorking Hours: StandardQualifications:Required:Active DoD Secret clearanceBachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or related technical field8+ years’ engineering experience5+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering, such as requirements and technical baseline development, test planning and integration, verification, and validationExperience developing or managing requirements or Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for complex systemsStrong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skillsProficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Due to security requirements, work is required to be on-site in a secure facilityDesired Skills and Experience:Active Top Secret clearanceMaster’s degree in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science, or related technical fieldExperience with MILSATCOM systems, such as AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal programsExperience working with military and DoD civiliansExperience with ground and airborne systems, such as terminals and networksKnowledge and experience in Agile Development and collaboration tools (Jira/Confluence)Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, INCOSE CSEP or ESEP)Compensation: The pay range for this position in California is $135,000/year to $169,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
