What would you do? FP&A Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of FP&A processes and driving transformational initiatives for the client. This role ensures operational excellence, adherence to global FP&A standards, and continuous improvement to meet evolving business needs. The FP&A Delivery Lead ensures alignment with Group FP&A standards and frameworks, translating strategic objectives into actionable financial plans and insights. This role acts as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders to help improve business performance by understanding Fonterra business, how it impacts FP&A processes and a potential solution.
What are we looking for? Education Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Management required. MBA/CA/CMA preferred. Leadership or management certifications advantageous. Skills, Competencies, Experience Required • 13–15+ years of FP&A or commercial finance experience with team leadership exposure. • Strong expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. • Proven ability to manage teams and lead complex workstreams in a delivery environment. • Deep Hands-on FP&A, Commercial Finance business acumen with exposure in commercial, retail, wholesale, merchandise, CPG or product-driven environments. • Expert Excel skills and strong proficiency in SAP, Power BI, Hyperion/CFIN. • Excellent communication, influencing, and senior stakeholder management capabilities. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Team Management Manage FP&A teams; drive coaching, capability building, and performance management. Tools • Advanced Excel — financial modelling, large datasets, pivot analysis, complex lookups • SAP ECC or equivalent ERP — report extraction, cost centre mapping, GL coding (training provided) • EPM / CPM planning tools — TM1, SAP SAC, Anaplan, OneStream or equivalent • Reporting and visualisation — Power BI, Tableau, Palantir or equivalent BI platforms • Familiarity with Snowflake or data warehouse reporting layers preferred
Roles and Responsibilities: FP&A Process Delivery • Support medium-to-long-term financial planning, ensuring alignment with Group FP&A direction and governance.• Provide scenario analysis and risk assessment to inform strategic initiatives.• Support the Finance Business Partner in embedding strategic planning processes and frameworks into the business unit.• Lead complex financial analysis, modelling, and strategic insights for business units.• Review critical deliverables and provide strategic direction on complex analytical requirements.• Ensure quality and accuracy of financial commentary and executive reporting.• Drive standardization of analytical frameworks and reporting methodologies.• Provide expert guidance on business cases, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.• Own the rolling forecast for revenue and gross margin lines within assigned categories • Support annual budgeting and long-range planning inputs for the retail vertical • Oversee management reporting frameworks and ensure alignment with Group FP&A standards.• Lead periodic business reviews and performance discussions with senior stakeholders.• Drive KPI governance and ensure consistency in performance metrics across business units.• Champion reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives.Business Partnering and Collaboration • Act as a strategic business partner to senior Finance Business Partners and business leaders.• Drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure FP&A insights inform business decisions.• Lead complex stakeholder engagements and manage escalations effectively.• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Continuous Improvement and Controls • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives across FP&A workstreams.• Ensure adherence to internal controls, governance, and compliance standards.• Drive adoption of FP&A tools, technologies, and best practices.• Champion standardization and documentation of FP&A processes.Team Leadership and Delivery Governance • Manage and develop FP&A teams, ensuring delivery excellence and quality standards.• Drive capability building, coaching, and performance management for team members.• Allocate work, manage priorities, and ensure timely delivery of FP&A outputs
