Oliver Wyman – Business Analyst (m/f/d) – Quotient AI Specialist – Madrid

Paseo de la Castellana 216, SpainRegularPosted Jul 31, 2026

Who we are

Oliver Wyman is a global management consulting firm. We work with clients through their most defining moments, combining deep industry knowledge, specialized expertise, and the power of perspective to help them adapt, grow, and thrive.

We believe diverse perspectives make the work stronger. Our consultants bring different backgrounds, experiences, and ways of thinking to help solve complex problems and create lasting impact for clients, colleagues, and communities.

At Oliver Wyman, we are proud of the values that we aspire to live by. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.

Quotient — AI by Oliver Wyman brings together deep industry insight, strategic advisory, and hands-on AI delivery to help organizations move from proof to production and from production to enterprise value.

The role

WAVE is a newly created team within Quotient. It sits at the front line of AI-enabled business development, working closely with Quotient Inside to help our consulting teams move faster, think differently, and build with reuse in mind.

As Business Analyst, you will be WAVE’s day-to-day operational lead. You will be the first point of contact for incoming partner demand, turn it into a clear brief the team can act on, keep priorities moving, and help ensure the work we produce is reusable, relevant, and worth scaling. This is a hands-on role for someone who thinks like a consultant, works comfortably with technical colleagues, and enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity.

You will also help shape WAVE’s medium-term direction by identifying which capabilities to build, where to focus the team’s time, and how to measure whether the model is working. You will run the team’s internal governance rhythm, keeping decisions moving, surfacing trade-offs early, and ensuring stakeholders are aligned. Working with technical colleagues, you will help design AI-based solutions that are simpler, faster, more autonomous, and higher in quality, using reusable patterns, solution scaffolding, and strong delivery standards.

What you will do

You will turn incoming demand into practical, high-value outputs that strengthen our go-to-market efforts across Banking & Financial Services in Europe and across practices in Iberia, the UK, and South East Europe and the rest of the region.

You will:

  • Act as the front door for incoming requests from partners, quickly assessing each one for viability, impact, urgency, and fit with WAVE’s backlogs.
  • Shape vague asks into crisp, well-framed briefs that the Technical Business Partner and engineers can pick up quickly.
  • Own day-to-day prioritisation and backlog flow, keeping work moving and surfacing trade-offs when capacity is constrained.
  • Protect team capacity by helping distinguish between work that should be built once, reused, or declined.
  • Maintain a reusable repository of slides, proposals, case material, and other content so the team does not rebuild the same things from scratch.
  • Run WAVE’s internal governance cadence, keeping partners informed on status, decisions, and what the team can and cannot take on.
  • Help translate early ideas into proposals, prototypes, and supporting material that strengthen business development.
  • Work closely with the team lead and your technical counterpart to keep WAVE’s output coordinated, practical, and easy for others to use.
  • Contribute to the operating rhythm of a small, fast-moving pilot team as it scales.

How you will be measured

Our success is simple to state: demand for our work should outgrow our capacity. You’ll know you are succeeding when partners come back for more, when AI angles start winning proposals, and when delivery teams inherit a bigger, better-qualified pipeline.

Why join us?

You can be your best here. At Oliver Wyman, you will find meaningful work, talented people, and a culture built on trust, support, and growth.

Create solutions that have impact

  • Work on AI-enabled, pre-client work that helps our teams win work, sharpen proposals, and create reusable capabilities with real business value.
  • Help partners bring stronger AI angles to traditional scopes and shape more ambitious client conversations.
  • Be part of a team where success is measured not only by output, but by whether the work can be reused, scaled, and built on.

Develop as a leader

  • Take ownership from day one in a role that sits at the centre of WAVE’s day-to-day flow.
  • Build credibility by helping different stakeholders align around priorities, trade-offs, and practical next steps.
  • Develop the confidence to lead through structure, judgement, and clear communication.

Learn without limits

  • Build a rare mix of consulting judgement, operational discipline, and exposure to AI-enabled delivery.
  • Learn from colleagues across Quotient and the wider firm while working closely with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Deepen your understanding of what makes AI use cases realistic, useful, and scalable in a consulting environment.

Thrive in a vibrant and inclusive culture

  • Work as part of a collaborative team that values different perspectives and practical problem solving.
  • Help shape how a new team grows, in a culture where people are encouraged to speak up, share ideas, and move quickly together.
  • Join an environment that supports inclusion, teamwork, and mutual respect.

Experience rewards that work for you

  • Enjoy a role designed for learning, visibility, and growth inside a newly created team.
  • Be part of a pilot that is built to scale, giving you exposure to how a new capability is shaped from the ground up.
  • Work in a way that supports performance, development, and sustainability.

Who can apply?

We are looking for someone with strong consulting judgement, excellent written communication, and the ability to bring structure to fast-moving requests. The right person will be comfortable working across business and technical discussions, will enjoy being close to the action, and will know how to keep things moving without losing quality.

This role is well suited to someone who wants to work at the intersection of consulting, AI, and delivery operations.

Required qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in management consulting or a comparable environment, ideally an ex-consultant who knows how proposals and Business Development actually work.
  • Strong business judgement and the ability to quickly assess whether a request is feasible, scalable, and worth pursuing.
  • Fluent in the language and standards of consulting, with the ability to communicate credibly with both partners and technical colleagues.
  • Excellent structuring and written communication skills.
  • Comfort saying “no, but here is what we can do.”
  • Working knowledge of AI’s current capabilities and limits.
  • Experience working with technical teams to shape solution design and improve the quality, speed, and usability of AI-based outputs.
  • Full professional English.
  • Spanish strongly preferred.

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior exposure to Banking & Financial Services.
  • Experience running an intake or prioritisation process.
  • Experience as a scrum master, delivery lead, or in a similar coordination role.
  • Experience building or curating reusable proposal, sales, or case material.

How to apply

Please submit your CV and cover letter. If shortlisted, you will be invited to meet members of the WAVE team and discuss your experience, motivation, and approach to the role.
