Job Description
The Security Specialist – Workforce Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) plays a critical part in managing and evolving enterprise Workforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities. This role serves as a key partner between security, engineering, architecture, and business teams to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant workforce access across the organization.
This position combines elements of IAM product ownership, business analysis, security governance, and Agile delivery management while supporting industry-leading identity management technologies such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Oracle Identity Manager (OIM), and related IAM solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the Workforce Identity Access Management WIAM and Workforce Identity Governance and Administration product and technology backlog, partnering with engineering teams to prioritize features, enhancements, and remediation efforts
- Support the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of enterprise Workforce Identity Access Management WIAM and Workforce Identity Governance and Administration platforms, helping drive improvements in identity lifecycle management, access governance, provisioning, deprovisioning, role management, entitlement management, and access request processes.
- Act in a product ownership/product management capacity for Workforce Identity Access Management and Workforce Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) tools and capabilities
- Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and technical teams to understand platform capabilities and translate business needs into clear requirements
- Support delivery planning across Kanban and Agile workflows to ensure timely execution of WIAM initiatives
- Applies security concepts, reviews information, executes defined tasks, analyzes requirements, reviews logs, and creates documentation.
- Advise on more complex Workforce Identity Access Management and Workforce Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions and product implementations for PNC application teams.
- Develop policies and procedures to standardize security functions and eliminate potential vulnerabilities and threats. Overseeing that business needs are being met during development.
- Help ensure Workforce Identity Access Management and Workforce Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) tools effectively enable workforce identity lifecycle processes such as provisioning, access requests, and de-provisioning
- Work with the IAM Workforce Governance team to understand systemic issues and gaps so that technology solutions can be designed and delivered to reduce the number of exceptions related to IAM controls and services
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of the Workforce Identity and Access Management lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with one or more Workforce Identity Access Management and Workforce Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions such as Oracle OIM, Saviynt, SailPoint, or similar platforms
- Ability to partner closely with technical and engineering teams to understand complex systems and clearly convey business needs and requirements
- Experience working with tools that enable identity-related business processes
- Knowledge of workforce identity concepts, including access governance and entitlements
- Understanding of access request workflows where system access is requested on behalf of employees (e.g., manager-initiated access requests)
- Solid understanding of system access concepts, authentication, and authorization
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present, summarize, and synthesize complex information for senior leaders and executives
- Knowledge of Kanban and Agile delivery methodologies
