About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Tap to Phone to lead the launch of a new Tap to Phone (SoftPOS) business line at Unlimit.
In this role, you will be responsible for building the product from the ground up—defining the product vision and strategy, bringing it to market, building the team, and owning the entire lifecycle of this new business. You will leverage Unlimit's existing payment infrastructure and licenses, including multiple acquiring licenses and other financial licenses, to accelerate market entry.
Key Responsibilities
- Launch a new Tap to Phone business line at Unlimit from the ground up, defining the product vision and strategy.
- Develop the go-to-market and marketing strategy for the new business.
- Build the product's financial model and unit economics.
- Build and lead a small cross-functional team (approximately five people initially) across Product, Engineering, and Delivery.
- Leverage Unlimit's existing infrastructure and licenses to accelerate market entry.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, including discovery, requirements gathering, delivery, launch, and continuous iteration.
- Define, track, and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs), including product adoption, transaction volume, revenue, and unit economics.
- Partner closely with Compliance, Risk, and Legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance across target markets.
- Develop and manage relationships with OEM partners and key merchants.
- Regularly report progress, risks, and financial performance to executive leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or higher is preferred.
- English proficiency at B2–C1 level.
- Proven experience launching and scaling new products or business lines from scratch.
- Strong background in fintech, payments, or acquiring.
- Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience using AI tools.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
- Strong ownership mentality and a hands-on approach to building products from zero.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and Commercial teams.
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering successful products and business outcomes.
