Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our HUB Inventory Planner position for our branch operations group located at our Austin, TX branch. The Inventory Planner manages the daily activity of Inventory Planning for all branch locations supporting the Texas-Austin/West Texas Region. This includes ensuring accurate allocations of product, forecasting for product needed, reconciling daily production orders, contacting customers, and required daily reporting.

Position Responsibilities may include: 
  • Manage inventory stocking levels and item forecast for all branches in the Austin/West Texas Region of operations.  (Parts and Equipment ARP maintenance)
  • Plan inventory to ensure accurate allocations of product based on sales forecasts.  
  • Run reports and analysis to create and maintain databases and spreadsheets for different users or areas. 
  • Ensure good customer service while dealing with customers’ phone calls, follow-ups, and relationship management. 
  • Track and report efficiencies and yields associated with inventory management.  
  • Manage the reduction of excess and obsolete inventory.  
  • Report to management/supervision daily out of stock items/materials.
  • Assists in cycle count discrepancy reconciliation at the branch level.
  • Review, monitor, and address full good inventory levels to minimize potential out of stock risk to sales. 
  • Facilitation of all required SAP standard work tasks to support branch operations.
  • Communicate effectively and promote information sharing between teams and departments.  
  • Manage special inventory projects 
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills:
  •  Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.  
  • Inquisitive nature and a passion for data integrity.  
  • Identify and analyze relationships contained within very large quantities of data.  
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office programs. 
  • Access or relational database knowledge.  
  • Supply Chain Management experience.  
  • Business analysis experience.  
  • Strong analytical skills.  
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.  
  • Ability to define, analyze, research, resolve, and communicate problems.  
  • Critical thinking skills.  
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, and to prioritize tasks, in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Working knowledge of SAP/WMS systems.

 Experience:

  • 2-5 years materials management, supply chain, or inventory planning experience in a distribution or warehouse environment 
  • 2 plus years of HVAC experience, desirable

 Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business or equivalent experience required 

 People Management: No
