CDBG Grants Administrator
The successful candidate will be located within reasonable daily commuting distance to the Houston TX area and will work 3 days remote and 2 days onsite per week.

Mission of Role/Position Summary:
The CDBG Grants Administrator (Mid-Level) support the administration and oversight of federally funded grant programs. This role will be responsible for reviewing grant applications, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, maintaining program documentation, and supporting financial management activities related to grant-funded projects.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

- Review, evaluate, and process grant applications for completeness and eligibility.
- Maintain grant files, supporting documentation, and compliance records.
- Track project budgets, expenditures, and funding allocations.
- Assist with financial reconciliation, reporting, and audit preparation activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local grant requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of grant documentation and program activities.
- Coordinate with applicants, stakeholders, project managers, and internal teams to facilitate grant administration activities.
- Monitor grant performance and identify potential compliance issues.
- Support program reporting and documentation requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience reviewing grant applications and supporting funding recommendations.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Experience using grant management systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with local governments or public sector clients is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role will not have supervisory responsibitlities.
Expected Hours of Work:
Schedule may vary. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 50% travel to client onsite location is expected for this position.
Physical Demands:
- Mobility required on-site with clients.
- Sitting or standing for hours at a time.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed.
- Ability to manipulate up to 25 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed.
Working Environment:
- Emergency management personnel may work in an office or home environment or be deployed to the field which may require working outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Work may be on-site with clients ex: EOC, hospital, debris sites or local government buildings.
- All AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) positions are remote work site positions with the home location agreed upon at time of hire.
- If the remote work site locations change, ACDC Human Resources must be made aware, and leadership needs to approve any site changes for business registration and payroll tax purposes.

Requirements
Experience/Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Accounting, Planning, or related field.
- 3+ years experience administering CDBG, CDBG-DR, CDBG-MIT, HUD, FEMA, or other federally funded grant programs.
- 3+ years experience reviewing grant applications and supporting funding recommendations.
- 3+ years experience and strong understanding of federal grant compliance and documentation requirements.
- 3+ years accounting or finance background.
Experience/Education Preferred:
- 5+ years experience in accounting and finance
- Current CPA
- Experience working with local governments or public sector clients.
Additional Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored visa is required. We are not able to employ those located outside of the US.
- Must pass company and any applicable client background check and reference check upon offer of employment.
