Roles & Responsibilities:

The Psychosocial Neuroimmune Addiction Laboratory, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship position in clinical neuroscience and social-cognitive neuroimaging. Directed by Keren Bachi, PhD, LCSW, our research group studies the neurobiological underpinnings of social factors in human drug addiction. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow, who will primarily assist in managing our NIH-funded research projects which utilize innovative neuroimaging, immunological, and clinical trial methodologies. Multidisciplinary mentored training opportunities are individually tailored to achieve specific goals considering the fellows’ prior background and interests.
Located in the greater New York metropolitan area within the Icahn School of Medicine and the Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai — internationally acclaimed for excellence in scientific research, clinical care, and education. The Departments of Psychiatry, and the Friedman Brain Institute offer an outstanding intellectual and multidisciplinary research environment with a commitment to translational research. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with lab operations and data acquisition
• Managing and analyzing fMRI data
• Writing manuscripts
• Assist the PI in grant applications
• Presenting findings at national conferences and local seminars/meetings
• Managing Research Assistants

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications according to NIH scales. 

Requirements:

Education:
Candidates must have (or nearing completion of) a PhD degree in neuroscience, clinical or social psychology, behavioral economics, computational neuroscience or a related discipline.

Computer and General Skills:
High-level expertise in neuroimaging analyses is expected. Knowledge of experimental statistics and excellent programming skills is a plus. Previous experience in advanced multivariate data analysis and computational modeling is desirable. Takes initiative. Strong communications skills and research productivity as well as ability to work effectively in a research team.
