Working as part of a diverse, highly collaborative newsroom, the successful candidate will serve as a vital link in CNN’s follow-the-sun operation to ensure consistent, multi-platform coverage around the clock, including weekends.

The successful candidate must have strong editorial judgement, as well as experience producing video for digital-first audiences.

  • Produce video for use across platforms.

  • Switch between US and international news priorities, depending on needs.

  • Communicate with teams across CNN, including those in the field.

  • Ensure all content is legally compliant and consistent with CNN standards and practices by partnering with teams who oversee these functions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrable OSINT and/or digital forensic reporting experience.

  • Extensive experience working in a video-first newsroom.

  • Heightened ability to identify news and cultivate strong sources and areas of expertise.

  • A real editorial drive with deep knowledge, passion and interest in US and international news.

  • Willingness to work weekends, as well as occasional late-night and/or early shifts.

  • A curiosity to keep learning, to think critically, and a strong desire to make CNN’s coverage innovative, distinctive and reflective of the world we cover.
