Adams Application Engineer
Role Expectations
The Adams Application Engineer will serve as the primary technical consultant for MSC Adams multi-body dynamics simulation solutions, providing end-to-end pre-sales and post-sales support throughout the customer lifecycle. This role is responsible for solution consulting, technical validation, project implementation, user enablement, and troubleshooting for customers in industries including automotive, new energy, aerospace, industrial equipment, robotics, rail transportation, and general manufacturing.

Job Description
• Engage with customers to understand system dynamics and motion simulation requirements and develop technical solutions using MSC Adams.
• Deliver software demonstrations, Proof of Concept (POC) studies, benchmark evaluations, feasibility analyses, and technical presentations.
• Support customer projects involving multibody dynamics, rigid-flexible coupling, vehicle dynamics, suspension systems, steering systems, powertrain analysis, mechanism design, vibration analysis, durability analysis, and control system integration.
• Provide technical support for model creation, subsystem assembly, joint and force definition, parameter setup, solver execution, result interpretation, and troubleshooting.
• Assist customers in integrating Adams with CAE tools such as Nastran, Marc, Cradle,Simulink, and control system platforms.
• Conduct customer training programs, hands-on workshops, and best-practice sharing sessions to enhance simulation capabilities.
• Monitor project execution, resolve technical challenges, and ensure successful implementation of simulation solutions.
• Develop industry-specific simulation case studies, technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge repositories.
• Collaborate with sales, R&D, and other CAE product teams to support business development and multi-software simulation solutions.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related disciplines.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Solid understanding of dynamics, kinematics, rigid body mechanics, and finite element fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with MSC Adams and multibody dynamics simulation workflows.
• Familiarity with:
o Multibody Dynamics (MBD)
o Rigid-Flexible Coupling Analysis
o Vehicle Dynamics
o Suspension and Steering System Simulation
o Powertrain and Driveline Analysis
o Vibration and Durability Analysis
o Control System Co-Simulation
• Ability to independently perform model setup, subsystem creation, constraint and force definition, solver configuration, results analysis, and report generation.
• Strong communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills with a proactive learning mindset.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support and project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in vehicle dynamics, chassis development, suspension systems, robotics, construction machinery, or industrial equipment simulation projects.
• Knowledge of flexible body modeling and co-simulation with Nastran, Marc, or Simulink.
• Experience with other MSC software solutions such as Romax.
• Basic programming or automation experience using Python, Adams/View scripting, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Previous experience in industrial software technical support, application engineering, customer-facing consulting, POC delivery, or simulation project implementation.
