Pay: $27.25 - $31.25

Position

Team Leads are workers who have a high degree of technical proficiency in their jobs, who serve as intermediaries between their supervisor and employees. Team leaders serve as mentors and trainers for their work area.  With this dual role, the job description(s) of the jobs in the area also apply to the Team Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and scheduling to team members in their daily activities. 
  • Assign work, give directions, and monitor work progress.
  • Handle product movement and dispatch coordination. 
  • Effectively communicate needs, priorities, and issues to the Supervisor, relevant departments, logistics, engineering, and production management, including those on different shifts.  
  • Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and ultimately external customers.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve issues.
  • Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures.
  • Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment.
  • Develop employees’ continuous improvement abilities. 
  • Use and develop visual systems so that no problems are hidden. Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior.
  • Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge related to the field of manufacturing and warehouse operations.
  • Communication skills in a clear, approachable, professional and proactive manner; provide strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining perspective. 
  • Be creative, flexible and able to drive/guide change. 
  • Ability to multi-task, follow through and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Capability to develop and coach individuals to higher performance.
  • Provide strong operations thinking that moves the vision to successful implementation. 
  • Leadership qualities – patience, kindness, humility, respectful, selfless, forgiving, honest and committed to the growth of the individual and organization.

Education

High School education or GED preffered.  

Experience

  • Two years supervision experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 
  • Demonstrated technical work proficiency in the department assigned to.

Computer Skills

Basic computer skills.

Working Conditions


While performing the typical duties of this job, employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.


  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment
  • Exposure to contaminants
  • Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled
  • Shared workspaces with other employees
  • Requires handling objects of up to 30 lbs.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
  • Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime)


Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)


Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee’s position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.


  • Ear Plugs - Earmuffs
  • Full Face Shield
  • Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty) 
  • Protective Apron
  • Respirator
  • Safety Glasses - Safety Goggles

Pay


SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the pay for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
