We are looking for a highly motivated Master’s Thesis Intern to help design and optimize lightweight, modular, and “plug-and-play” mechanical solutions for industrial inspection machines. You will work closely with experienced engineers on CAD development, prototyping, and mechanical validation in a real factory environment, contributing directly to the future of industrial AI systems and sustainable textile manufacturing. ResponsibilitiesDesign and optimize mechanical solutions for textile inspection systems.Develop CAD models and technical drawings for industrial hardware components.Support the prototyping and assembly of mechanical structures and mounting systems.Test and validate mechanical stability and system performance in real factory environments.Contribute to the development of lightweight and modular hardware architectures.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including AI, electronics, and production engineers.Analyze installation and maintenance processes to improve scalability and serviceability.Ensure compliance with industrial safety and manufacturing standards.Skills & ExperienceCurrently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar.Interest in mechanical design, prototyping, and industrial systems.Familiarity with manufacturing processes and mechanical assemblies.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex real-world engineering challenges.Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.Interest in automation, robotics, or AI-driven industrial solutions.Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
