Sourcing Recruiter

Austin, TXPosted Jul 30, 2026

ICON is rebuilding recruiting from the ground up — standing up a Recruiting Delivery Center of Excellence engineered to find and win talent with the speed, rigor, and market insight of the best search firms in the world. We are looking for a Sourcing Recruiter to be the tip of the spear: the person who finds the people no job post will ever reach and puts them in play for the searches that decide who builds the future of construction. This is a general-interest posting - we are continuously meeting exceptional sourcers across experience levels.

This is a hunter's role. You will own the top of the funnel - mapping markets, cracking hard-to-fill searches, and engaging passive, in-demand talent with outreach sharp enough to earn a reply - and build a personal sourcing engine powered by the latest AI tooling. You'll partner directly with senior TA Partners on ICON's most critical searches, and be measured by the caliber of talent you surface, not the volume of messages you send. If you want to help build a world-class recruiting function from the ground up, own your craft, and see your work translate directly into who joins ICON, this is that seat. As part of a small, high-caliber team, you will advance humankind's ability to deliver dignified, affordable, resilient, and sustainable shelter.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sourcing & Pipeline Generation

Identify and engage passive candidates using advanced sourcing technique — Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and other channels — for TA Partner-run searches.

Build and maintain proactive pipelines focused on passive and hard-to-reach talent across current and anticipated searches.

Develop and iterate sourcing models for difficult or specialized roles, and recommend new techniques to improve pipeline quality and volume.

Qualification & Handoff

Conduct initial qualification screens that surface candidate viability and interest; this is a top-of-funnel role, not full assessment.

Hand off qualified pipelines to the TA Partner at the agreed definition of done, with market context attached, so nothing stalls and no one wonders who has the ball.

Market Intelligence & AI Tooling

Draft and personalize outreach at volume using AI tooling, and surface non-obvious channels and talent pools.

Compile and escalate sourcing insights to the TA Partner — talent availability, competitive dynamics, and market signals.

Process & Data Hygiene

Document sourcing plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and metrics.

Maintain data hygiene through disciplined candidate dispositioning and adherence to response timelines and the CoE playbook.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience, in-house or agency.

Demonstrated proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean sourcing across at least one talent domain.

Track record of engaging passive candidates and running initial qualification conversations.

Proficiency with an applicant tracking system and disciplined candidate dispositioning.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

4+ years of sourcing experience with demonstrated independent sourcing on specialized roles.

Experience sourcing technical or hard-to-fill roles — engineering, software, robotics, skilled trades, or construction / AEC.

Hands-on use of AI sourcing and outreach tooling at volume.

Experience in a high-volume or search-firm environment.
