Manager, Solutions Architecture
Summary
The Manager, Solutions Architecture leads Paperless Parts' Solutions Architecture function while serving as the lead Solution Architect on the company's most strategic customer engagements. This role is responsible for building a high-performing team, establishing scalable solution design practices, and ensuring customers receive technically sound, implementation-ready solutions that drive long-term success.
Working across Sales, Professional Services, Product, and Engineering, this leader combines hands-on customer engagement with team leadership to improve implementation quality, reduce delivery risk, and continuously evolve how Paperless Parts solves customer challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Solution Architects while serving as the lead Solution Architect on the company's most strategic customer engagements.
- Lead technical discovery, business process workshops, and solution design sessions to translate customer requirements into scalable, implementation-ready solutions.
- Partner with Sales to lead technical discovery, scope customer solutions, define Statements of Work, estimate implementation effort, and identify technical risks that drive successful customer outcomes.
- Serve as the senior technical resource for escalated customer situations by leading onsite engagements, facilitating business process discussions, identifying root causes, and designing solutions that address complex customer challenges.
- Establish best practices for technical discovery, solution design, implementation handoffs, and customer documentation to improve consistency, quality, and scalability.
- Partner with Professional Services, Product, and Engineering to ensure successful solution delivery while influencing product direction based on customer feedback and implementation trends.
- Drive operational excellence through team development, capacity planning, solution quality metrics, and continuous improvement of the Solutions Architecture function.
- Develop deep expertise in the Paperless Parts platform and serve as an authority on product capabilities, implementation best practices, and solution architecture.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Professional Services within a SaaS environment.
- 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or developing customer-facing technical teams.
- Proven success leading technical discovery, business process discussions, and solution design for enterprise customers.
- Experience designing SaaS implementations involving APIs, ERP integrations, and other enterprise business systems.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations, ERP systems, and business process optimization is a plus.
- Ability to quickly develop deep product expertise and become a trusted advisor on platform capabilities and implementation best practices.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with executives, customers, and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to support customer engagements, onsite workshops, and industry events.
Salary range: $131,000 - $177,000
This role is also eligible for variable compensation.
