As a M&A Annual Report & Accounts Experienced Associate, you will engage directly with clients, providing valuable insights and support within our Tax practice. You will contribute to the Mergers and Acquisition Tax team, focusing on delivering quality services and building meaningful client connections. This role offers the chance to deepen your technical skills and expand your knowledge in tax consulting, while working in a dynamic environment that encourages growth and learning.

Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation and review of consolidated tax returns and tax provisions
- Supporting corporate transactions and domestic restructuring with a focus on tax implications
- Engaging in post-deal integration activities to align tax and finance structures
- Contributing to the development of tax models and restructuring strategies
- Collaborating with teams to analyze purchase and sale agreements for tax considerations
- Participating in the integration of tax and finance systems post-acquisition
- Utilizing intellectual curiosity to explore innovative tax solutions and structures
- Maintaining effective communication with clients to address tax-related inquiries and issues
- Applying knowledge of tax structures to optimize business operations and transactions
- Developing skills in tax and finance integration to support client engagements
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting or Master's in Commerce
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
Key responsibilities are assigned based on an evaluation of the candidate’s professional qualification, relevant experience, Excel and PowerPoint skills, and a demonstrated working knowledge of basic financial analysis that impacts the business and economic environment. These could include:
- Recording, collating and reviewing Reward and Executive Compensation information from the Annual Report & Accounts of (predominantly) UK-listed companies to form part of a database of information which is the foundation of the UK Executive Compensation practice’s client consulting.
-Working with, and developing, Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to support the efficiency and quality of the data collection/review and draw insightful conclusions from data.
-Preparation of key client reports, such as Non-Executive Director fee summaries and the UK team’s flagship AGM season reports.
- Understand the process of workflow related to work requests from initiation through completion, understand how workflow is managed within the firm's workflow management tool, understand optimal and required ways to document results of work performed.
- Consistently demonstrate teamwork dynamics by working as a team member: understand personal and team roles; contribute to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback.
- Communicate with the stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Experience: 1-2 years.
- Understanding financial accounting concepts, company annual reports & accounts (particularly UK-listed companies).
- Strong report writing and analytical skills.
-Ability to navigate and manage conflicting demands.
- Has effective written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability of build effective relationships.
- Has Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience working in a Reward / Total Reward team, either in-house or within a consultancy practice (particularly in relation to executive compensation) would be an added advantage.
