Job Description
This role plays a central part in localizing and activating the employment value proposition (EVP) for the India market, ensuring core brand messages resonate with the local talent landscape while maintaining consistency with the enterprise employment brand strategy. This individual will lead initiatives across employer branding, recruitment marketing, candidate experience, employee recognition, and early careers to support the U.S. Bancorp India GCC growth and long-term talent pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Localize and activate the global EVP for the India market, ensuring core brand messages are adapted to resonate with local talent while staying consistent with the enterprise employment brand strategy.
- Conduct local talent market research to understand candidate motivators, cultural nuances, and competitive employer positioning, leveraging employee focus groups, pulse surveys, and market data to inform EVP messaging and content.
- Develop and execute a localized employer branding strategy that positions U.S. Bancorp India as an employer of choice in India's competitive GCC landscape, including branded content, employee testimonials, and social media campaigns tailored to platforms such as LinkedIn, Naukri, and Glassdoor.
- Partner with India-based leadership, HR, and communications teams to embed the EVP across all employee lifecycle touchpoints, from job descriptions and recruitment marketing to onboarding, internal communications, and career development materials.
- Build an employee advocacy and storytelling program that activates real employee voices in India, showcasing authentic career journeys, global impact stories, and the "founding member" experience to attract both lateral and early-career talent.
- Design and implement recruitment marketing campaigns that attract high-quality talent and enhance the end-to-end candidate experience, including engagement, communication, and feedback loops across active and passive talent.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition teams to improve pipeline quality, conversion metrics, and offer-to-join outcomes.
- Develop and execute an early careers/university talent attraction strategy for the India site, including campus recruiting programs, university partnerships, and internship or graduate rotational pipelines that build a sustainable pipeline of intern and full-time candidates aligned to GCC hiring priorities.
- Build relationships and lead campus engagement with top-tier engineering, business, and technology institutions to position U.S. Bancorp India as a preferred employer through career fairs, hackathons, innovation challenges, and on-campus brand activations.
- Design early careers employer brand content and campaigns that speak to Gen Z and early-career talent motivators — including career growth visibility, mentorship, global exposure, learning opportunities, and purpose-driven work — and support structured onboarding, mentorship, and development pathways that drive first-year retention.
- Partner with HR and India site leadership to activate the employee recognition platform, incorporating everyday recognition, work anniversaries, and celebrations tied to local cultural moments.
- Collaborate with global recognition program owners to ensure India-specific efforts integrate with enterprise-wide frameworks while allowing meaningful local customization, developing frameworks and best practices to answer questions and provide training opportunities.
- Monitor recognition quality and program usage and “coach” for appropriate use, communicating with team members at all levels as needed.
- Drive initiatives focused on employee engagement, culture building, and retention, and support DEI-driven programs through brand storytelling and communication strategies.
- Lead development of content, storytelling, and communication strategies across digital and offline channels, partnering with global Marketing and Communications teams to amplify employer brand visibility and build thought leadership in India.
- Partner with senior leaders, HRBPs, cross-functional teams, and external vendors to align priorities and ensure consistent execution.
- Evaluate and measure program success through insights, analytics, and metrics — including engagement, hiring outcomes, retention trends, campus conversion, and recognition participation — reporting results to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
