Job Description

Lead a goal-oriented Restoration team to create a team environment that is effective, productive, and rewarding. Together with your team, you will create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal.

Responsibilities

The Director of Restoration – San Antonio serves as the operational leader for HHS Rapid Response & Restoration throughout the San Antonio market. This position is responsible for leading restoration operations, emergency response, business development, customer relationships, financial performance, and team leadership. The Director ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards while driving market growth and delivering exceptional customer service.

Reporting directly to the **Vice President of Rapid Response & Restoration**, this position serves as the primary restoration leader for the San Antonio market and will provide operational support to other HHS markets as business needs require.

Operations Leadership

 

  • Lead all restoration operations supporting the San Antonio market.
  • Manage restoration projects from initial emergency response through project completion.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with IICRC standards, OSHA regulations, company policies, and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate personnel, equipment, subcontractors, and resources to meet project schedules and quality standards.
  • Maintain emergency response readiness and respond to after-hours emergency events as needed.


Team Leadership
 

  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and develop restoration supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture centered on safety, accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct employee coaching, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development.
  • Promote compliance with all company safety programs and operational procedures.


Business Development
 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the San Antonio market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, facility managers, property managers, municipalities, insurance professionals, and strategic partners.
  • Conduct customer meetings, facility tours, presentations, and networking activities.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Rapid Response & Restoration to execute growth strategies that increase market share and revenue.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.


Financial & Administrative Management
 

  • Assist in developing annual business plans, operational goals, and growth strategies.
  • Manage labor, equipment, fleet, and operational resources responsibly.
  • Monitor project profitability and support financial performance goals.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation, reporting, invoicing support, and recordkeeping.


Compliance & Quality Assurance
 

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, IICRC, infection prevention, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Promote quality assurance through routine inspections and customer follow-up.
  • Maintain operational readiness for disaster deployments and emergency response.


Additional Responsibilities
 

  • Support restoration operations in other HHS markets when requested by the Vice President of Rapid Response & Restoration.
  • Represent HHS Rapid Response & Restoration at healthcare associations, networking events, trade shows, industry conferences, and community organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.


Qualifications
 

  • Minimum of **2 years of experience** in restoration, construction, facilities management, environmental services, healthcare support services, emergency response, or a related field.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
  • Strong desire to grow into a leadership role focused on operations, customer service, and business development.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with customers, healthcare partners, and internal teams.
  • Basic understanding of restoration and emergency response operations. Experience with water, fire, smoke, mold remediation, or specialty cleaning is preferred but not required.
  • IICRC certifications are preferred but not required. Candidates must be willing to obtain required certifications after hire.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn company software systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, participate in an on-call rotation, and respond to emergency incidents.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel throughout the San Antonio market and occasionally support other HHS locations.
