Profile Summary
The Head of Product and Partner Strategy, Wealth Management is responsible for setting the product strategy, governance, and partner ecosystem across Voya’s Wealth Management business. This role owns the full WM product portfolio, including VFA, third‑party investment products, and all product partner relationships, with accountability for product performance, economics, and client relevance. The role serves as a senior leader and connector across distribution, investment management, operations, and external partners.
Profile Description
- Own the end‑to‑end Wealth Management product strategy, including proprietary and third‑party products, platforms, and solutions, with responsibility for product vision, positioning, and lifecycle management.
- Provide executive oversight of all Wealth Management products, including VFA, ensuring alignment to client needs, advisor experience, and firm‑wide strategic priorities.
- Lead and oversee all product partner relationships, including third‑party asset managers, sub‑advisors, platform providers, and strategic distribution partners.
- Drive improved operating margins and product economics through partner negotiations, pricing discipline, and a holistic view of enterprise value creation.
- Lead negotiations for third‑party revenue agreements, sub‑advisory fees, mutual fund distribution arrangements, retail managed account solutions, and other investment partnerships, as applicable.
- Partner closely with:
- Wealth Management and Retirement business leaders to understand growth strategy, client segments, and product priorities
- Distribution leaders to align products to sales priorities and advisor needs
- Product teams to set roadmaps and investment focus
- Investment Services and Investment Management to ensure appropriate product construction and fund availability
- Establish and monitor analytics and performance metrics across the WM product ecosystem, including partner concentration, revenue contribution, client adoption, and risk exposure.
- Lead product and partner governance frameworks, including onboarding of new investment companies, platform integrations, and ongoing relationship management, ensuring a seamless end‑to‑end experience from a client and advisor perspective.
- Coordinate with marketing, sales enablement, and wholesaler teams to support product education, thought leadership, and value‑added programs for advisors and clients.
- Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing team responsible for product management, partner relationship management, analytics, and administration across the Wealth Management product portfolio.
Knowledge & Experience
- 15+ years of leadership experience in wealth management or financial services, with deep exposure to investment products including mutual funds, managed accounts, and advisory platforms.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise‑level product portfolios and managing complex third‑party partner ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of wealth management distribution models, advisor needs, and client segments.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and improve product and partnership economics at scale.
- FINRA Licenses: 7, 24, 65 or 66 required. CFA would be a plus.
- Demonstrated success operating in a matrixed environment, influencing across business lines and senior stakeholders.
- Track record of providing thought leadership and shaping product strategy at the executive level.
- Ability to build and sustain long‑term strategic relationships with internal leaders and external partners.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
