This is one of our top hiring priorities right now, and if you're looking to combine people leadership, delivery ownership, and technical steering in one role with real autonomy and impact, this is the role for you!<h3>💼 About the Role</h3><ul><li>Team leads at Qargo are more than an experienced teammate, the role combines operational leadership, people/feedback responsibility, and technical leadership.</li><li>You'll organize your team's work, plan allocation, manage dependencies, and make sure delivery runs smoothly.</li><li>You'll give regular feedback and help steer the team's growth and ways of working.</li><li>You'll guide technical direction and make sure the right tradeoffs get discussed. What matters is technical credibility to know decisions are sound and the team is well supported.</li></ul><h3>🔑 Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead a team of engineers working on Qargo's order management and invoicing domain, from initial order entry through to final invoicing.</li><li>Steer technical decisions and ensure the team discusses the right tradeoffs, staying close enough to the work to spot risks early.</li><li>Own people and feedback responsibility: coach, give regular feedback, and help the team grow.</li><li>Collaborate closely with the Product team to shape and sequence the roadmap, translating it into a clear, deliverable execution plan ****(priorities, scope, and dependencies) for your team.</li><li>Act as the main point of contact between your team and Product, Design, and other engineering teams, keeping priorities aligned and dependencies unblocked.</li><li>Be present enough in the office to lead effectively and stay connected to your team day-to-day.</li></ul><h3>✅ Skills &amp; Experience</h3><ul><li>Proven experience leading a team both process-wise and technically, comfortable owning planning and delivery as well as steering technical direction.</li><li>Strong technical depth, with the willingness to work beyond a narrow specialty.</li><li>Experience giving feedback and helping steer a team, formally or informally, with a genuine interest in helping others grow.</li><li>Pragmatic and ownership-driven, with good judgment on balancing speed, quality, and maintainability.</li><li>Office-first mindset: able to be in our Ghent office to lead, collaborate, and stay closely connected to the team in person.</li></ul><h3>🤝 What We Offer</h3><ul><li>A meaningful role in a fast-growing SaaS company where your work will have real impact.</li><li>A flexible work environment with hybrid working and flexible hours.</li><li>A green office with great atmosphere and fun initiatives like board game nights, theme lunches, and sports activities.</li><li>A team-first culture where autonomy, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing are encouraged.</li><li>The chance to grow with us — personally and professionally — as we scale across Europe and beyond.</li></ul>
