The role:
Truecaller's ads business reaches over 400 million users and is one of the largest in-app advertising platforms in its markets. Alongside our programmatic business, we operate a fast-growing direct advertising business spanning branding and performance campaigns, and this is the fast-growing side of the ads business. The market is shifting decisively toward outcome-based advertising, and we are building a performance ad product designed to compete with the best in the industry: bidding, pricing, attribution, and conversion optimization, built natively on our platform.
This role owns our direct ad products end to end, spanning both brand and performance. Performance is the active build focus and where the bulk of your bandwidth will go, but you will also own and evolve our branding ad products, which remain the larger revenue contributor today. You will define the product that lets advertisers buy outcomes on Truecaller, working closely with engineering, data science, sales, and ad operations. It is a high-ownership role on a product line expected to drive the majority of direct revenue growth over the next two years.
What you’ll do:
- Own the direct ads product roadmap: branding and performance formats, targeting, buying models, and campaign tooling across the full advertiser lifecycle.
- Build the performance product: define the bidding, pricing, and optimization capabilities that let advertisers buy installs and conversions at scale, in close partnership with our recommendation and bidding intelligence team.
- Get attribution right: own the measurement foundation, including MMP integrations, event tracking, and conversion signal quality, that performance advertising stands on.
- Optimize the funnel: drive systematic improvements in click-through, install, and conversion rates across formats and placements.
- Grow advertiser outcomes: make ROAS and delivery predictability the product's selling point, and work with sales to convert that into budget growth and retention.
- Balance the portfolio: dedicate a meaningful share of your roadmap (roughly a quarter of your bandwidth) to keeping the brand product competitive in formats, targeting, and measurement while the performance build scales.
What you bring in:
- Experience: 4+ years in product management, with meaningful time spent building performance advertising products at an ad network, ad platform, or consumer internet company with a large ads business.
- Performance ads depth (must-have): hands-on understanding of the performance stack, including CPI/CPA/oCPM buying models, bidding and pacing, campaign optimization, and the impression-to-click-to-install-to-conversion funnel.
- Brand ads exposure (strong plus): familiarity with brand ad products, including formats, reach and frequency buying, and brand measurement. The ideal candidate has built across both sides of the demand portfolio, with performance as their center of gravity.
- Attribution fluency: working experience with mobile measurement partners (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Kochava, Singular or similar), postback flows, and the practical realities of attribution, discrepancies, and fraud.
- Advertiser empathy: you understand what performance advertisers optimize for, how they judge a platform (ROAS, CPI, conversion rates, scale), and what makes them increase budgets.
- Data and ML collaboration: comfort partnering with data science teams on prediction models, bid optimization, and ranking, and translating model capabilities into product outcomes. You don't need to build models, but you need to speak the language.
- Commercial orientation: experience working with sales and ad ops teams, and using revenue, delivery, and advertiser retention metrics to steer the roadmap.

It’s a space where curiosity leads the way, and prototypes take shape. Some concepts even make it into production, and a few have grown into real features used by millions today.
