Engineer II, Ardurra Group, Inc., Maitland, FL
Duties:
Assist Senior/Chief Highway project engineers in the design and development of road and highway contract plans, specifications, and estimates. Develop feasible design alternatives and compare parameters such as typical sections, horizontal and vertical alignments, right-of-way requirements and construction cost. Perform standard computations and analysis and research assignments. Support preparation of final design plans, cost estimates, and technical special provisions. Attend design meetings and coordinate with team members. Prepare letters, faxes, spreadsheets, power point presentations, project schedules, and other administrative-related documents. Maintain adequate record of design documents. Candidate is willing to work on fast pace Design Build projects. Perform other duties as assigned. No hire/ fire authority.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline plus 5 years of related experience.
- Must have experience with DOT and AASHTO Standards, as well as experience with MUTCD.
- Must have experience with Microstation, AutoTurn, Geopak, Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge, AASHTOWare, Civil 3D, HY-8, ArcGIS, VISSIM, Synchro, and HCS.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office.
- Local and regional travel required up to 10% for site visits.
