EHS- Engineer

Reporting To:

Management, General Manufacturing & Operations

Work Schedule:

Onsite – Bangalore, IN

EHS Engineer – MOOG INDIA

Looking for female Candidates

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee EHS programs the ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements to minimize risks and promote a safe and sustainable workplace.
  • Promote a culture of EHS stewardship across the organization and organize EHS training for employees
  • Measure gaps , prioritize initiatives and collaborate with site leadership, production managers, supervisors including contractors to ensure compliance
  • Analyzing effectiveness of work place EHS procedures and standards in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspection to identify hazards. Recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures to contain the risks.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, determine root cause and implement preventive actions and maintain records.
  • Oversee waste management, pollution control and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Develop and manage in coordination with corporate the necessary compliance management system
  • Plan and define requirements for training and assessment to assure compliance systems are meeting regulatory, corporate and customer requirements
  • Implement Audit programs aligned with corporate requirements and in accordance with local regulations and in partnership with all levels of the organization
  • Collaborate with site leadership to accelerate performance of EHS committee members  and all employees in contributing to the overall strategy and objectives of the company
  • Develop, manages and report to site leadership appropriate key performance indicators or metrics to track and report compliance status of the site
  • Provides site operation with cost effective solutions to reduce compliance risk and operating cost
  • Develop and coordinate for implementing emergency planning program.  Participate in all emergency situation or condition which have the potential to put the company and its employees at safety / environmental risk

Authorities:  

  • Responsible for statutory compliance , CFT Management .
  • Approval of Leave, PR, PO, Contracts, OPEX/CAPEX as per authorization matrix of MCIPL.
  • Performance Management of his team members.

Qualifications:

Education/degree

BSC/BE in Chemical / Environmental Engineering & Mandatory degree/diploma certificate in industrial safety.

Work experience

Minimum of 8- 10 years of experience in successfully managing Environmental and Safety compliance program at the manufacturing site

Proven capabilities in these key behavioral competencies

  • Adaptability; building strategic working relationships across functions; Leadership Skills, aligning team performance for success
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to interpret environmental regulations and implement programs to attain / maintain and go beyond compliance

Demonstrated ability to influence by example and work with all levels in the organization

Language Skills:

Must have: English (written and spoken) Desirable: Kannada

Travel Requirements:

Minimal and should be ready to travel to international location
