About Argon
The next decade belongs to biology. Bio foundation models are turning experimental guesswork into prediction, and the industry built on that science is set to produce more medicine, faster, than at any point in history.
The bottleneck for bringing these medicines to patients will be everything downstream of the science: clinical & regulatory strategy, portfolio decision making, the governance reviews, launch planning. That work is still done by smart people manually assembling context from a hundred sources, and it moves at the speed of headcount.
Argon builds the AI workforce for that layer. Our platform provides workflow automation purpose-built for biopharma commercial and portfolio teams, specialized from the data model up.
We're an early-stage YC-backed company founded in 2024, working with top-tier pharma and several of the largest life sciences consultancies. We're growing quickly, with 7-figure ARR up 5x year-to-date.
We pride ourselves on outsized output, being kind, and balancing excellence and progress. Join us if you want to be productive, move fast, and shape the future.
Why this role
You'd be the first industry hire on the Life Sciences team. The Life Sciences team is the group of industry experts that help bridge industry expertise with AI systems. We are looking for an expert with first-hand experience navigating pharma’s portfolio strategy, governance and commercial operations to help us bridge that critical domain knowledge with our platform.
You will help our partners get value from our software products, drive deployments, and identify use-cases and opportunities to drive our product execution.
Concretely, the split looks like:
40% client-facing business development. Industry events, prospect conversations, and translating what Argon does into the specific decision VPs in Commercial teams are trying to make next quarter.
40% deployment. Hands-on onboarding, training, and working sessions with new and current accounts. You own whether users get real value in the first 60 days.
20% product. You're the voice of the customer in our roadmap. Surface the workflows we're not serving and the gaps between what the current version of Argon can do and what the job actually requires.
This is a founding role. There is no playbook, no established territory, and no one above you who knows this domain better. You'll write the playbook and help to build this function from the ground up.
What you bring
6+ years in commercial and portfolio strategy in biopharma. Direct biotech or big pharma experience is preferred over pure consulting.
Deep working knowledge of pharma's internal governance process for clinical and commercial decision-making with first hand experience seeing how decisions actually get made.
Experience running client-facing, multi-stakeholder engagements with real complexity.
Genuine comfort operating without structure. The most common way this role fails is someone excellent who needs a defined process to work inside.
You already use AI tools in your own work.
What you’ll be responsible for
Drive business development efforts including attendance of industry events and leading client conversations for tailored use cases of Argon’s platform
Lead customer deployments with hands-on training and working sessions to help users get value from the platform quickly
Help shape product strategy and roadmap by deeply understanding customer workflows and the gaps in the current product
